Khloe Kardashian Clarifies Her Comments About Ciara's Celibacy Vow

Khloe Kardashian is in the hot seat after appearing to call out Ciara and Russell Wilson's very public vow of celibacy. 

On Wednesday night's episode of her show, "Kocktails With Khloe," Kardashian talked about the new celebrity trend of "going celibate." The reality star pointed to Ciara and her NFL quarterback boyfriend as two of the most prominent faces supporting the idea. 

"With all due respect to Ciara, she has a baby. It's not like we don't know if she's a virgin or not." Khloe said in the clip above as the other guests chimed in. "But none of us would know about it if they weren't publicly telling that they were practicing celibacy. So who are you trying to prove this to? Is it a look?" 

It appears Twitter fans freaked out about the comments, as Khloe was forced to walk back on her thoughts on Thursday.

Kardashian does have a right to be mad, as her comments look less out of context in the show's entire celibacy discussion, rather than the edited clip shared on the Internet.

Wilson, a devout Christian, first talked about his vow of celibacy with Ciara in an 2015 interview with San Diego pastor Miles McPherson.   

"He has anointed both of us and I know that he's calling for us to do something miraculous," Wilson said. "I told her … If you can really love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody." 

At a February event in Miami, Ciara recently told People that the decision to become celibate was an easy one. 

"It's just a fun new chapter in life for me … we talk about everything, and I think that's what you should be able to do as people and partners in a relationship," the singer said. "So, that's what makes it really beautiful."

Considering Ciara and Kim Kardashian used to be super close, it'll be interesting to see what the singer says back. Wilson has not yet commented on Khloe's comments, but Ciara did (sub?)tweet this:
